You Want a White Wedding and a Hand You Can Hold

Hey everyone!(: Yesterday was my last day of school, so I should have more regular posts. I also should have a more interesting summer than last year, as I should see my friends a bit more often (Last summer was so boring..all I did was work on my blog and swim). I'm hoping I'm able to create some adventures for us (us, being friends). Any ideas?

So, this blog started out as a beauty blog, and it basically still is. So, I'm going to post one of my first official Beauty posts in a while. Here are seven beauty tips to remember for the summer-

  1. Wear Sunscreen- I know you've probably heard this a MILLION times, but it really helps. It prevents things such as skin cancer, wrinkles, and skin imperfections. A little bit of direct sunlight is good (15 minutes or less) because you are soaking up vitamin D, which is a vitamin your body needs and gets from direct sunlight, but to much can create quite a few problems.
  2. Avoid Using a Blow Dryer- Or any other heated hair products. During the summer, you get enough heat from the outside heat. Do your hair a favor and put down the straightener. Try different hairstyles, like the beach waves, or up-dos.
  3.  Drink Lot's of Water- If not, you risk becoming dehydrated. I suggest buying a cute water bottle, filling it up, and carrying it around. Cute, easy, and you don't have to worry about all those plastic bottles.  Water also cleanses out any bad substances in your system.
  4. Accessorize- My favorite part of summer! Sunglasses, straw hats, cute necklaces/bracelets/rings, and flip-flops are all a must have! Sunglasses to shade your eyes and keep them working good, straw hats to shade you head/face, jewelry....well, just 'cause, and flip-flops for when you need to run and need some quick shoes. And who wants to wear tennis shoes to the beach??
  5. Moisturize- If your swimming a lot, or even in the sun a lot, your slowly drying out your skin. Use a good moisturizer, and you'll keep your skin glowing!(:
  6. Protect Your Lips- Use a lip balm, or chap-stick, with sunscreen in it. I didn't know this until recently, but yes, you can sunburn your lips. I've heard it hurts really bad too.
  7. Keep Your Hair Off Your Face- If you have bangs, keep them pulled up. If you leave your hair down, and you sweat a lot, you are putting natural hair oils on your pores, and those two things don't mix. Especially if your prone to break-outs.

I hope you enjoyed and remember these tips this summer!(:
