You Gotta Get Up And Try

Hello loves!!

Monday, my graduation was cancelled. We were under a tornado warning for two-ish hours, the sirens went off twice, we lost electricity, I didn't have school Tuesday, and no electricity for most of the day Tuesday, and went back to school Wednesday. Nothing happened where I lived, but well, I'll get to that in a minute.

I graduated Thursday.

I think you guys are all caught up.

Back to Monday.

By now, I'm sure all of you know where I live. What happened Monday went national in seconds. A tornado hit Moore, Oklahoma and hit a daycare and a few elementary schools.

Kids died, and are severely injured. The death toll is huge. Guys, please pray for Moore. There are a few other towns that were hit badly too, so please pray for them as well. What happened was tragic. Please, keep Oklahoma in your prayers.

So, back to my week.

Wednesday, we had our talent show. I had to announce, as I was student council president. I was also in three different acts. Thursday was my last day of school. We also had our awards ceremony, where we each get our "highest average in this class" awards. I got nine, and was top of the class (ninth year in a row). Then I graduated that night.

I got there. I was texting my best friend. I walked in and my teacher had to do a double take, and said she didn't recognize me. I went in and realized I forgot my camera. Went back out to the car, wasn't there. Then hugged all my family members who came, and went back to the classroom. Put my cap and gown on, then walked over to the auditorium to watch my baby brother graduate Kindergarten. On his birthday.

Then walked into a different teachers classroom to wait on all the people leaving so we could start our graduation. We lined up, and then it started. We were ushered in,  I found my family and best friend, then walked into our row of seats and waited to be told to be seated. My principal told us to be seated, then greeted everyone. Then I was asked to go up and give my valedictorian speech. I gave it, heard three of my best friends yelling at me.

Finished the speech, sat down, and the slide show started. It showed us as babies, then showed a recent picture of us. Then showed some memories. And then my principal went back on stage, and I was asked to come back up. I received an award worth 100 dollars, then received my valedictorian plaque. I finally sat down again. Then we were asked to go back on stage and were given our diplomas. And then we all got back, turned to the audience, switched our tassels to the left, and then were ushered out. I then found my best friend, hugged him, took a picture with two other best friends, then took a picture with the bestest friend. Then I made my way down the hall, hugged my family, hugged my best friend again like ten thousand more times, and then we finally got outside. I went back to the classroom, took my cap and gown off, then had to go back outside to give my dad my money, then heard my best friend yell "You look beautiful!"

Then the limo pulled up and we left.

It was the best day of my life.

Here's a few pictures--

Me and the Bestest Friend
I love this picture.

Me and my class, minus one.
Yes, I had six people in my eighth grade class.
And yes, that is the limo behind us (:

I have some other stuff, some videos and such. If you guys want to see my speech or something, comment and I'll put it up. But yeah. It was...amazing. (:

Much Love!(:
