Fulfilled

Hello everyone!(:

So last week I went to an Aviation Science camp. This was a week long camp with a focus on age appropriate classes teaching about STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). During this camp, I learned about rockets, built a rocket, learned about flying and how planes work, mapped out a flight, learned how to use the tools.

I also fulfilled one of my dreams I've had for over three years.

I flew a plane.

I had an instructor sitting beside me, but there were times when this man had both hands off the controls messing with the radio.

I was in the air, flying an actual Cessna 172. On my own.

I giggled, I squealed when we hit turbulence, I looked down at amazement at the tininess of the world below me.

It was amazing.

And it opened up a tiny little monster inside of me begging to be fed, wanting more and more of these experiences. To see what a desert looks like from up high, or maybe the ocean. To see what it's like to go higher than the 1,700 feet I was up (technically 1,500 from the ground, 1,700 from sea level). To want to experience zero gravity, to be in control of the radio and know what everything the tower is telling me means.

I want to be a pilot. I want to fly commercially.

To be honest, I just want to fly.

I have never ever been so sure of anything else in my entire life.

And now I shall leave you with pictures(:

Much Love!(:
